Alfalfa Hay is suited to young, growing and breeding small animals such as rabbits and guinea pigs.

It is only suited to mature rabbits when fed in very small amounts occasionally as a treat or to add enrichment

Always introduce new hay slowly over a 7-14 day period, and always consult a vet or nutritionist first if unsure.

Crude Protein 20%, Crude Fibre 27%, Crude Fats and Oils 1.6%; Crude Ash 6.5%, Sodium 0.03%

*Alfalfa Hay is higher in nutritional value than our other varieties of hay, particularly calcium and protein, therefore is not suited to all small pets: we recommend introducing this hay type gradually over a period of 7 to 14 days. And always speak to a vet or nutritionist first if unsure. This feeding time frame applies to introducing any new additions (such as hay, pellets or leafy greens) to your small pets diet.
