We have a range of different hay types which all offer different tastes and textures.
- Tasty Timothy Hay (4.5kg): Coarse, long stems great for dental and digestive health
- Moreish Meadow Hay (4.5kg): Soft and palatable, adored by the fussiest of eaters!
- Sweet and Munchy Ryegrass Hay (1kg): Long stem and sweet to taste for enhanced nutrition
- Coarse and Crunchy Alfalfa Hay (1kg): Suitable for young, growing and breeding pets as it's a step up in nutrition to support health and development
Can I feed Different Types of Hay?
Absoloutely!
By feeding a variety of hay types, it supports an enriched diet for your small pets. Alongside feeding Timothy Hay and/or Meadow Hay - why not offer a sprinkle of our Ryegrass and Alfalfa Hay?
With different tastes and textures added to their diet, it makes feeding 80-90% of their hay based diet - easier!
How Do I Introduce New Hays into my Small Pet's Diet?
Absoloutely!
As recommended by our in-house nutritionist Briony, always introduce new hay types to your small pet's diet, gradually, over a period of 7 to 14 days.
Is Ryegrass Hay similar to Timothy Hay?
Like Timothy Hay, Ryegrass Hay is long, green and stalky but with enhanced nutrition. We would recommend feeding Tasty Timothy Hay (or Moreish Meadow) as your small pet's main hay (fibre) source and feed Ryegrass Hay alongside it in smaller quantities.
Always introduce new hay types to your small pets over a period of 7 to 14 days.
Are Your Hay Boxes Dust Extracted?
At HayDay, we do dust extract our hay for your furry friends.
Not only do we dust extract: but our hay is barn dried too using renewable energy. Guaranteeing quality all year round!
